one vacation and a few small ones

since I quit my job at the end of May. It was fun for a while but I’ve found myself in some sort of rut. Lately I don’t go out much, except to get delish food or wash my car (which only happened once). I’ve gone out on the weekends when friends have come into town and I’ve visited the lake house in Williamsburg a few times. I think I may take one more actual vacation before I’m fully employed once again. I was looking up some places like the Virgin Islands, the East and West Caribbean, and Turks and Caicos. I’m torn between taking a cruise or just flying somewhere for a few days. I think I may just fly somewhere nice that has a lot to do in the immediate area. Also, I will be taking this trip alone, this may or may not sway one’s recommendations.

All that said, I would love for some recommendations on a few points:

Destinations (places you’ve visited and would recommend, or even somewhere you would NOT recommend)

Travel accommodations (did you use a company, contact a resort directly, etc)

Points of interest at said destination

I’m hoping to get some comments and suggestions soon so that I may make my reservations.
Now for a nice bike ride to end the day.

Tue, 01 Jul 2008 19:48:00
